Wildlife Photography

If recent headlines are to be believed, there isn’t much time left to enjoy the wonders of the natural world before they’re buried under snow drifts or drowned by melting ice caps. Wildlife photography, then, is both a reminder of the treasures we could lose to climate change, and a record, in the event that we don’t change our ways. The world’s most important forum for nature photographers is the Wildlife Photographer of the Year competition, organized by the BBC Wildlife Magazine and the Natural History Museum of London. From more than 20,000 photographs, the jury selects just 90 for a traveling exhibition, which is at the Museum Mensch und Natur in Schloss Nymphenburg until April 22. The museum is open Tuesday to Sunday, 9 am to 5 pm, and entry costs € 2.50.
