Afghan: Lemar

Information:
Even just at first sight, it’s obvious how much love and effort it took to create a comfy parlor out of the diner Lemar. Rose-colored walls with Asian ornaments perfectly complement seating furnished with cushions and rugs. Golden lamps and wooden columns adorned with inlays are a sparkling representation of Eastern aesthetics. In terms of food, the delicate mixture of spices in the Scherba-E-Tarkari vegetable and noodle soup (€ 4.50) certainly suggests Asian influences. However, main dishes, most of which are prepared on a lava stone grill, are more reminiscent of Indian concoctions. Safran Tschalau (€ 12.50) features chicken in peppers and lentil sauce. Or, try the Afghan classic of brown baked basmati rice, raisins, carrots and pistachios along with a spit of grilled lamb (€ 14.50). Lemar is always packed, so booking in advance is recommended.
